Springboro, OH: Styled Newborn Session

My client really wanted some styled newborn photos that highlighted just her baby. We picked colors and accessories and spent an afternoon trying to get this sweet girl in comfy poses to highlight all of her baby features. While I don’t exclusively shoot prop newborn sessions, I’m always up for a challenge from my clients. Check out her little gold bracelets that her mom wore in her own baby photos!

Client Tips!

Styled newborn sessions require a lot of work! There are many photographers who strictly style and shoot newborn sessions in their own studios. They have carefully curated inventories of blankets, baskets, bows, outfits, and backdrops. Every newborn photographer is different with their editing style, posing preference, and their ability to work with newborn babies.

When shopping for a newborn photographer who can style and pose babies, keep in mind that the best time to pose babies is within the first 3 weeks after birth. So having your session booked before you deliver can save you heartache when everyone is booked out in your area once your baby is already here.

The price tag for studio-based photographers who provide your setup and styling can be pretty hefty. Keep in mind that the overhead cost for these photographers can be more than your traditional family photographer, and taking shortcuts in these sessions can leave you with disappointing photos.
