Dayton, OH: Summer Mission Session

Dayton, Ohio has been such a gem of a place to discover. When we knew we were going to be relocating to Ohio, I didn’t realize what a hotbed of beautiful parks, sunsets, and waterfalls awaited us. It’s a photographer's dream to have so many resources to bring clients outside for their sessions, most of which are right in our backyards. For this shoot, we went to a local park and began shooting at the peak of golden hour all the way into blue hour. While we only stayed in one location, we used the park's many backdrops to create four distinct looks.

Client Tips!

Do the outfit change! The more you switch up your looks in your session, the more variety awaits you in your final images. It can be as simple as adding and taking away a jacket or blanket.

Be prepared to move in your pictures, especially if you are taking individual portraits. The more movement you add, the more your body relaxes. Sometimes nerves or the pressure to try to force yourself to look a certain way can make you stiff. The more you walk, turn, twirl, and run, the more you'll capture loose and authentic body poses.
