Dayton, OH: Summer Maternity
When TLC told me not to chase waterfalls, I listened and decided to chase sunsets instead. If you can actually believe it, every single one of these sky backdrops is the actual sunset for this rainy evening session. Mother Nature pulled out all her tricks for this mom-to-be! Not a single sky overlay was used, only adjustments in the highlights and shadows to create some of the most colorful summer maternity pics.
Client Tips!
Donβt let the weather forecast scare you out of taking outdoor pictures, especially during the summer when a 10-minute rain shower can blow in and out. There are only a handful of weather events that could ruin your pictures, but in some cases, a little rain will bring with it magical nature moments to make your images pop.
On this evening, my biggest fear was that this park would be crawling with other photographers and their clients, which usually just means more photoshopping. However, my clients were so flexible, and because we persevered and dealt with some showers in the first few minutes of our shoot, it ended up giving us the place to ourselves with clouds that looked like they were painted.
